Aquisition Of Abbey Glen Domestic Laundry Business
Our Meadowhead laundry has been withdrawn from sale and given a new lease of life following the acquisition of the domestic laundry business from Abbey Glen. The move gives us a viable collection and delivery service for laundry in Sheffield and the surrounding area.
In taking on the business we are also delighted that four members of the Abbey Glen staff have joined us at Goodman Sparks.
We announced in 2009 that we were looking to sell the Meadowhead business and concentrate on our core business of the supply and servicing of commercial laundry equipment. However, we have always had a strong relationship with Abbey Glen so it was a logical progression that we would take over the domestic laundry side of their business when they closed their Sheffield site to concentrate on their commercial business at the other sites. The extra work fits perfectly in to our Meadowhead laundry, allowing us to retain it as part of Goodman Sparks.
The Meadowhead site is where our business was first founded back in 1968.
